Open Pharmacy complies with the highest standards of pharmaceutical care
We operate under comprehensive oversight from UK healthcare authorities to ensure every patient receives safe, effective, and professionally managed pharmaceutical care.
CQC - Medical Regulatory Agency
Open Pharmacy is registered with the Care Quality Commission in the UK (Reg. No. 00000000). The CQC ensures that healthcare providers meet the national standards established in the UK for their sector.
Being registered with the CQC ensures that our healthcare service undergoes regular inspections and complies with UK laws and regulations to protect patients. As part of CQC inspections, they verify that:
- Medicines are prescribed safely and in accordance with current national guidelines
- Adequate insurance coverage is maintained
- Healthcare professionals possess the necessary qualifications and training
- Robust policies and procedures are implemented to deliver a safe and effective service
- An open and honest culture exists that embraces feedback and continuous improvement
Choosing an online provider registered with the CQC is crucial as it ensures they operate to the highest standards and remain accountable for their actions. You can share feedback about our service atwww.cqc.org.uk/yourexperience.
GPhC - Pharmacy Regulation
Open Pharmacy premises are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Reg No. 00000000). The GPhC upholds the national standards expected for all registered pharmacists and pharmacies.
The GPhC ensures that pharmacists have appropriate registration and training to practise, that pharmacies are regularly inspected against national standards, and any concerns about pharmacists or pharmacies are investigated. These standards apply equally whether it's your local high street chemist or an online pharmacy like ours.
Our Superintendent Pharmacist, Ms Aisha Malik (GPhC No. 2205843), is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and oversees all pharmaceutical services to ensure compliance with professional standards.
Our prescribing pharmacists have undergone additional training to enable them to prescribe treatments for the medical conditions we are able to treat. They all possess extensive experience and maintain current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
GMC - Doctor Registration
All our doctors are registered with the General Medical Council in the UK. The GMC regulates all doctors registered in the UK, ensuring their training is current, managing the UK medical register, setting standards for doctors, and addressing concerns about medical practice or behaviour.
Any doctor practising in the UK must be registered with the GMC to work legally in the UK. All Open Pharmacy doctors are GMC-registered, ensuring they are fit to practise and can provide you with a high standard of care.

Open Pharmacy is certified with LegitScript. LegitScript is an organisation that partners with major platforms like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Visa to help inform the public about which commercial entities are legitimate, legal, and trustworthy.
LegitScript certification is voluntary for online pharmacies and demonstrates compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. If a website has LegitScript certification, you can be confident they are operating legally and any treatment you receive is likely to be safe, effective, and genuine.

Who Can We Provide Treatment To?
All treatments provided by Open Pharmacy are for adults only (18 years and above). We provide an online healthcare service for a range of non-acute health conditions, sexual health issues, and contraception.
Our service involves private and confidential online health consultationswith medical practitioners, provision of individual health advice, and issuing of private prescriptions for medicines. When placing an order, you'll complete a questionnaire so our prescribers can assess your current health status, medical history, and other relevant information.
We always prioritise the health and wellbeing of our patients. If a patient has a more immediate healthcare need or is unsuitable for the treatments we offer, our healthcare team will inform them and provide advice and referral to the appropriate service.
Open Pharmacy is not an emergency service - in a medical emergency, you should contact 999.
